Week 3 Thing 5
I chose this student-made book because it seemed like a great example of what a teacher can lead a class to accomplish. This type of project requires writing skills, planning, creating a storyboard, creating or researching different puzzles and the whole class collaborating to create one incredible book. This one obviously took a great deal of work and time, but I could see using Mixbook with a class to create a simple book, with each child contributing a page, and sharing it with parents and other classes.
I've tried embedding the You Arrrrrhhh a Pirate book repeatedly, and I can't get it to play, so I've tried choosing another book. This one is a Preschool Graduation Scrapbook.

Week 2 Thing 4 Reflection
I could see me using this with my 3rd, 4th & 5th grade students blogging their reviews of the Sunshine State books throughout the school year. Generally, I do books talks about all of the SSYRA books and then continue promoting them throughout the first half of the school year. The children love to tell me which one is their favorite and why, so this is a great way to get them writing about it.
