Week Thing 21

Storybird and GoAnimate seem absolutely amazing! Students would have so much fun using these tools to create their own stories. I think I would use Storybird for younger children, maybe as a class project, since it is less complictaed to use than GoAnimate. Maybe 4th, but probably 5th graders would be able to successfully use GoAnimate. All would need to create a storyboard of their story, utilizing those writing skills. As with many of the tools we are learning about, these could be used for all subject areas - explaining science concepts, basic math concepts and processes, language skills, social studies issues, history, living biographies, etc....
As I look over all of the tools that we have been using, tools I would use include Mixbook and Smilebox, to organize and use/share my pictures; Blabberize was very cute and I would like to use this with my 3rd grade classes. I want to add more information to my wiki, and use it to communicate with parents and teachers regarding our media programs and procedures. I think I'll start small, with just a couple of tools at first, and work my way up to more as the year goes on.
